This inspectorate operates within the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure and is responsible for: Road transport inspections; bus stations and freight terminals, road infrastructure and road safety and technical controls of vehicles and driving schools. The duties and responsibilities of the Inspectorate are: Administrative supervision of the implementation of legal and by-law acts, which regulate road safety and road transport, proposes the initiation of procedures in the relevant departments, for completing and changing legal and by-law acts, related to encountering difficulties in the implementation of legal and sub-legal provisions, coordinates with institutions at the central and local level, for the smooth running of road safety and road transport, gives proposals for solving problems encountered on the ground, regarding road safety and road transport.
