Sanitary Inspectorate functions within the Ministry of Health, which organizes and supervises the work of the Sanitary Inspectorate of Kosovo throughout the territory of Kosovo, as the highest body of sanitary control.

Sanitary supervision includes the control of food quality, hygienic-sanitary conditions of industrial-food, commercial-food, health, hotel, preschool, school, culture, sports and recreation facilities, personal hygiene maintenance facilities, public facilities and public housing.
