This inspectorate operates within the Ministry of Industry, Enterprise and Trade. The activity is carried out in accordance with Law No. 03/181 on the Inspectorate and Market Supervision and other laws in force. It is responsible for: Inspections for market surveillance according to the legislation in force on market surveillance, the field of metrology according to the law in force on metrology. They are responsible for overseeing the implementation of laws in the following areas: Internal trade, consumer protection, trade in petroleum products, general product safety, precious metals, tourism, tobacco control and construction products.
